這首歌是1970年，電影「外科醫生M.A.S.H」的主題曲，當電影一開始直昇機的螺漩槳轉動...主題曲就上了
這是描述越戰期間，兩位吊兒啷噹的外科醫生，如何在苦悶的軍營中找樂子的故事。相當搞笑的黑色喜劇，集結了諸多小故事成為一部電影。勞勃阿特曼首部揚名國際之作，坎城影展最佳影片。現在看來沒什麼，但這片的諸多電影手法不但在當年為首創，也是好萊塢首部使用髒話（f**k）最多的老祖宗電影。Ring Lardner Jr. 改編自 Richard Hooker 的小說， 1970的最佳改編劇本獎。
既然提到這首歌，其實也還有另外一首我很喜歡有關越戰的歌，由Rolling Stone唱的「Paint It Black」，六年級的男生對於禮拜六下午中視演的「霹靂神兵(TOUR OF DUTY」這部越戰影集的班頭應該都印象深刻.. ...
對了，這首歌最近一次的出現應該是在「魔鬼代言人（Devil's Advocate）」的片尾曲。如果你沒看過魔鬼代言人，最近電影台好像蠻常重播的，可以看一下。我甚至買了這部電影的原文小說。不過....是第一本也是最後一本，而且還沒有K完...
